The peaceful Islam George Bush talked about and the Islam in the developing
world. Shortly after the September 11, 2001 terrorist attack on the New
York
Trade Center, President Bush gave a speech where he stated two remarkable
things:
1. That Islam was a peaceful religion.
2. That Allah was not happy with the terrorists.
My president knows that Muslims are divided over his comments. Basically
some, but not all Muslims living in the West would agree with Bush's
comments. However Muslims living in Islamic controlled countries call Bush
a
liar and openly praise Osama Bin Laden as a martyr for the faith. While
Muslims living in the west will say Islam is peaceful, they are violating
the message of the Qur'an and changing the historical pattern of Islamic
life. Muslims in Islamic controlled nations view most North American
Muslims
as "polluted by western culture" and "lukewarm Muslims".
The Two Islams and the Freedom of Religion
a.. Islam has sects that differ on theology, organization and the they
way
they view Christians.
b.. I am deeply troubled that in most Muslim controlled countries or
where
Islam is a majority religion, that Christianity is not allowed to truly
co-exist beside Islam as we do in the USA.
c.. Openly preaching Jesus in most of the Muslim controlled nations is
often dangerous and illegal, resulting in beatings, imprisonment,
confiscation of property and death.
d.. Islam emphases holiness. It legislates holiness from the top down.
Christianity from the conversion of each heart up, one soul at a time
truly
converted.
