yes, dh is continually doing that, and never moves beyond such a
consideration because she doesn't seem to have a means of creating
knowledge or moving beyond the consideration stage. it may be a 
matter of "being given" the "correct" answers, or of simply being
"convinced" by the proper experience. we're not sure yet.
dh doesn't seem to know either.
