Can you admit you're wrong?

My local NPR had an interview today with the author of a great
sounding book:

I didn't get to listen to the whole thing, but am going to give it
another go in a bit here.  I'll hold off discussing it for now, hoping
somebody else chimes in.  I found it extremely relevant to the kinds
of discussions that go on "on these boards."
