A God is someone who is bigger and badder than you, that may in fact
be able to hurt you just by thinking badly about you, a God is someone
you should appease once you know they are a God and you should pay
close attention to odd things that may happen around them, and attempt
not to piss them off, cause even if they don't do anything to your the
ambient tension can hurt others. A God is very likely going to look
like an ordinary person, but has good connexions to things that you, a
merehume, can't get to. A God probably didn't create the Universe, but
it certainly can have quite an effect on it's local ****tion of it.

You can't do anything to a God because by definition you are not a
God, so don't you dare have any hubris, refer to Odysseus if you have
any doubts about that.

Get you head out of your ass and sup****t your local deity, your very
life, slack and happiness may depend on it, but be careful it's not
just another ordinary cult leader with bizzare demands and no real
perceptible powers. Powerful mind control does count, but by then you
won't even know whats happening. So stay an atheist if you want to,
but it doesn't hurt to have a God or two as friends. Think about it.

Also be careful how you talk about "Gods" because very likely even if
one isn't around personally they are going to pick up on it and it's
gonna cause problems for somebody, so you have a responsibility to be
at least a decent human being if not exactly a cowering, fearful type
(they are im****tant too, ah diversity!)

Most Gods, unless they are totally alien, will generally just be
Overmen/Uberfemmes, and they might even like to help you out if you
have a problem so you might want to open your heart and mind just
enough to actually listen to some advice (but not necessarily take it
at face value unless they are an especially savvy God in which case
you will love the advice).

If you prefer for purposes of your own you can replace God with
demigod/ess or hero/ine.
