Seek ye first his kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things
shall be added unto you.
(Matthew 6:38)

2600 years ago the Lord Buddha said :

In this world
Hate never yet dispelled hate.
Only love dispels hate.
This is the law,
Ancient and inexhaustible.

 Dhammapada I, 5

In Matthew we again find:

You have heard that it was said, 'An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a
tooth.' But I tell you, do not resist an evil person. If someone
strikes you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also. And if
someone wants to sue you and take your tunic, let him have your cloak
as well. If someone forces you to go one mile, go with him two miles.
Give to the one who asks you, and do not turn away from the one who
wants to borrow from you.

Obsessions do wear out in time, sadly they are usually replaced with
other obsessions...
the root insecurity fails and grasps over and over again, maybe
eventually learning a bit
by trial and error...

Seek ye first his kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things
shall be added unto you.
(Matthew 6:38)

If God is Love His Kingdom is Friendlness, His righteousness is not
the sword but Compassion
and Forgiving just as He gave his Son; with grace then we can make
smooth the rough,
mend broken ties:

    And forgive us our tresp*****,
as we forgive them that trespass against us.

and then and "all these things shall be added unto you." :

    thy kingdom come;
    thy will be done,
in earth as it is in heaven.

The Buddha said in Dhammapada I :

But whoever follows the way
Is joyful here and joyful there
In both worlds he rejoices
And how greatly
When he sees the good he has done.

For great is the harvest in this world,
And greater still in the next.

However many holy words you read,
However many you speak,
What good will they do you
If you do not act upon them?

Are you a shepherd
Who counts another man's sheep,
Never sharing the way?

Read a few words as you like
And speak fewer.
But act upon the way.

Give up the old ways-
Addiction/using others, hatred, and ignoring.
Know the truth and find peace.
Share the way.
