i sup****t the Beijing Olympics as they are rather like the Olympics
held in Nazi Germany
where a black man from the U.S.A. put Nazi racist ideals to shame.
The websites you posted speak in the same stilted language the
People's Daily uses - they
can no more speak real English than there are elections in China.
They, like the Part funding
them, are a cheap sham. A Lie. A Falsehood. A million dead when the
Maoists Invaded Tibet.
Paid emigration for "un-wanted" Han to emigrate to Tibet, so that in a
mere fifty years the Han
now out-number the native Tibetans in Tibet. Strip-mining,
deforestation, mass hunting of
wildlife, damming rivers, etc - the Party elite have been destroying
Tibet's ecology and
culture for decades, just as they have been polluting and destroying
the ecology and culture
of China and the bordering regions.
The Party elite think that they will be the new Billionaires and
Lords of a new Capitalist China
that will follow the pattern of Russia's post-communist
transformation. Like the Russians they
think that capitalism and corruption go hand-in-glove, and that
democracy is a farce for the press
(as George Bush Jr. tried to prove...but we see how that is now
failing...)....
China is a great nation, and Chinese people are a great force for
good in the world.
They are, however being hampered and abused by a dictatorial regime
that fears and represses
the input of that populace of good families.
Free Tibet. Free China.
Capitalist, communist, socialist, whatever - any system will work if
it is practiced with caring
and respect for human rights - *let the people decide* - Democracy for
China ! Let the blood of the
children massacred in Tienanmen Square be remembered. No more
dictators! No more oppression,
no more violence!
That call will be heard throughout the Olympics, if the Party Elite
likes it or not.
Let the Games begin.
