By your own admission you are soured on the Christian Religion.

However, in my thinking without it American marriage and family
would turn into chaos.

If you agree there is a cult of Jesus that venerates his person
excessively, I encourage you to find a circle of love (NOT ON
THE INTERNET) in which your mind is stimulated and the
compassion of your heart awakened.

Way back when, my restless mind demanded to know who the
real Jesus Christ was.  I wanted the supernatural element, the
NT miracles stripped away to expose his true history.  In this
quest I succeeded.  Thus, I fully understand his motivation
to carry on his dynasty thru marriage with Mary Magdalene.
However, it is as an agent of social change to give ritual access
to God for the "unclean" cl***** that he is im****tant for us today.

May we spur one another on to love and good deeds (NT Hebrews).
