this person 'cheeba.las.ve': "Is Hendry Leon a true Quaker?"; I

by Hendry Leon <hendryleon@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Apr 30, 2008 at 10:24 AM

* I made the decision in 2001 to be baptized while in toronto, and i
was: believing that what the (i believe to be now, Jesus 'an idol', a
cultural icon, a collectively made myth. thus the myth of Jesus
resurrection.) icon of Christianity: Jesus, mandated is compulsory,
and not what George Fox opined on and with regards to (thus a heresy:
for he did not establish the religion itself. ANOTHER BLAH BLAH BLAH,
RELIGION IS RELIGION REGARDLESS, SO THAT WHOEVER COMES TO TWIST THAT
WHICH ITS ORIGINAL FOUNDER ESTABLISHED IS NOTHING MORE THAN A HERETIC,
PERIOD. Not reasoning this back then i sent the doctrine of 'the
Rapture' by mail to persons whose email i did not have whose names i
mention here.).

Whatever George Fox came up with was a fad of the
times within which he was living in: An Imperialistic perspective. =A0I
grew up as a child in my own home in Guatemala (a "Friends" church in
Guatemala was in fact established in our home- due to the very
manners,
respect for others starting from the home: my own mother treating me
as
"usted" was one of them. =A0The practices/habits and culture which
reigned in our home then- not material possesions which our family
had.), listening to Quaker history (which is more or less part of the
history of England itself.), I have come to consider George Fox to be
a
heretic who fell into the fad of his own times, that of perceiving
the
world itself from an Imperialistic perspective. =A0I declared back then
that I believe in baptism
to be essential as it was declared by the one who represents
Christianity: Jesus. Regardless of whether Jesus as i have come to
believe is simply a deceased cultural icon, deceased historical icon,
who was made what he is: due to historical, socio-political factors
which made him the collective myth which he is. Sadly everyone has
heard about Jesus, but one is to live in a Muslim/Buddhist society/
surrundings and another is one to live and conduct oneself in a
society in which one's conscience is permeated by Christianity to the
extent that one cannot get away from it (ie.: holidays that are
compulsory recognized: easter, christmas, etc. So that when one comes
to reject christianity the only recourse that one has IS THE LAW. I
