Well, here it is, 2008, just 4 more years till 2012.
Yeah, and it's just 2 till 2010 and we are shown just how far we still
are behind Author C. Clark, what's your point?
Oh you know what I mean, that whole December 21, 2012 "the end of the
Mayan calendar" thing that so many people are all a twitter about that
was brought up by Jose Arguelles years ago when he went on tour with the
Harmonica Virgins.... but I kid, the Harmonic Convergence.
I mean the Mayan's were impressive and all, but ah.... well, just 10
days ago my Uncle John's Bathroom Wisdom Calendar also ended, and I just
went to Books A Million and bought a new desk calendar.
Who's to say that if the Mayan were still a major power they wouldn't
have just carved up a new one and rolled it out on the 22nd?
Perhaps if I had some Mayan in me like Arguelles, rather than being
Scott, Irish and Creek, I put more weight in it as well.
But still there are an awful lot of people concerned about this, is it
just the New Age version of The End Is Near (tm), or might there really,
really be something to this?
Stranger things have happened I guess.
Never mind my skepticism, what do you think?
