I am not a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
but I think the word "abandoned" may be too harsh a word until the
church clarifies its position. "Deferred for another time" may be more
appropriate.

If all these doctrines and practices have been abrogated instead, then
it would seem like the LDS Church has adopted the common practice of
the Watchtower Society of the Jehovah's Witnesses - new light has
replaced the old light.

Who knows?  ... maybe Jesus (now taught by Latter-day Saints to be the
first born spirit son of Heavenly Mother and Father) will change into
God who has always been God.

I wonder what then happens to all those Latter-day Saints who died
with faith in a false Christ.
