An Erlenmeyer flask, perhaps?

And yet the image still persists, and is promulgated by numerous
Christian organizations. So if I look at your comments, I would conclude
four points:

That there are really two "consumer groups" for images of Christ - a
scholarly elite and the rest of the population.

That the informed elite understand that the image of Christ in
wide-spread use within Christianity has been influenced by how some
people want to perceive Christ rather than accuracy

That the rest of the population either does not know or does not care
that the image is inaccurate, and is not motivated to take any steps to
begin to care or know.

That no religious organization considers the issue of the accuracy of
the image of the individual they consider to be God to be im****tant
enough to correct the inaccuracy

One significant difference is that I think any depiction of he process
of the translation of the Book of Mormon is almost certainly inaccurate.

Which is what makes life so diverse.

Cheers.
