There may be a variety of reasons for this. One would obviously be that
"the 
Church" has no clear knowledge of why Black men of African ancestry were
not 
ordained generaly to the Priesthood prior to 1978. A second might be that
it 
is of no great im****tance why this practice was in place at that time,
since 
it has been changed and none of God's children, we are told, will lose any

blessings as a result of what they were not permitted to do through no
fault 
of their own.  A third might be that our cirtics would possibly either not

believe or find fault with whatever explanation was made.

I tend to like my first possibility best, but think the other two carry
some 
value as well.
