Without qualification, I agree.

However, orthodoxy has creeds. Mormonism has only the most nondescript
articles of faith, and leans far more heavily on personal revelation.
Defended as reliance on the Spirit, it's evident from the amount of
contradiction between such putative revelations that this is also a
breeding ground for existential flights of fancy mistaken for
something divine. In some sense, Mormonism structurally has few
impediments to such gratuitous enthusiasm -- and because this space
for speculation is considered by LdS to be a superior understanding of
inspiration to anything they understand from orthodoxy in this
respect, their gratuitous speculations are considered far, far more
reliable.
