Sunday I went to an LDS church for the first time and I'm planning
on going back for a long time (if the Heavenly Father and Jesus keep
leading me down this road that I know is true.)
Anyway, on Sunday I got to see people Testify. It was an amazing
experience.
I'm still not sure tho what you can and can not Testify on. The ones I
heard sounded
more like tributes to Prophet Hinckley and they ended with - I Testify
that
the
Book of Mormon is true and for today's time and that this church is the
true
church of Jesus Christ - in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
Well, I know, thru the power of the Holy Ghost, that the Prophets in
the Book of Mormon are true and that the Book of Mormon is for today's
time.
Can I Testify the truth then? Well, I was reading the last three
chapters
of 2nd
Nephi and a spirit came over me. I incorrectly thought the spirit was the
spirit
of Nephi but now I know it was the Holy Ghost. The day after I went to
services for the first time I was visited by the Holy Ghost again. I know
that the church I went to is the living breathing true church of Jesus.
Can I Testify on what I said above? I Testify that the Prophets in the
Book of Mormon are true, the Book of Mormon is for today's time, and
the church is the true church of Jesus.
