Well, I have read a whopping 200 pages so far.  My impression is that
a lot of these attempts to make Islamic states are actually a kind of
social progress relative to what many of these 'societies' had
before.  I can't really tell whether Fisk is an optimist or a
pessimist yet though.  I hate pessimistic books.
