In the 9/11 Commission Islamic terrorists were part of a category
called 'takfiri's' which meant that they did not generally associate
with normal Muslims. Even so, it would seem probable that other
Muslims exert more influence on takfiri's than anyone else. Likewise
in Reza Aslan's "No God But God" he suggested that Islamic terrorists
were generally more concerned about what was going on within Islam
than with what was going on outside of it.
According to the April 2008 edition of Scientific American it would
not be too difficult to smuggle enough highly enriched uranium into
the United States to kill about '100,000 people' (p.98). For example,
ABC was able to successfully smuggle in depleted uranium...
"Homeland Security was not fond of ABC exercises and asserted publicly
that if NRDC's [Natural Resources Defense Council's] slug of depleted
uranium had been HEU [highly enriched uranium], inspectors would have
identified and intercepted it. We disagree. Our analyses show that
when even lightly ****elded with lead and steel, depleted and highly
enriched uranium have similarly weak radiation signals and would be
equally hard to detect by either generation of monitor." (p.101)
What I am wondering is what would happen if the m***** banded together
to condemn such terrorism. Surely this would convince even the most
hardened of hearts, wouldn't it?

Matt
