Hello,
Not all Christians believe in such things. They go by what the Bible
teaches, which is that Satan is "the god of this world" (2 Co 4:4)
Thus they are not surprised by wickedness in all places, including 'in
positions of high power'.
They know that soon God will rid the world of such wickedness, "And
just a little while longer, and the wicked one will be no more". (Ps
37:10)
