[This wasn't Verizon's best week.

1. Monday PSE&G (the power company) cut a cable with 4000 or more
pairs (I've heard different numbers).

2. I got my service back Wednesday, but Thursday it went out again.
The tech said that someone had gotten a cross-connnect wrong.

3. Thursday PSE&G cut another cable, this time a cable carrying 1100
pairs. They got one of their own power cables as well. Fortunately it
didn't affect me.
