According to Clement of Alexandria (possible error because I am doing
this out of my head)
the way the old Hebrew name of the deity, YHWH, was pronounced (by the
Samaritans who did not have the Jewish taboo against saying it) would
be spelled in English as Yahoo. As in Swift's magnum opus (I wonder if
he knew this).
The gnostics and such like people played with this name in the form
Yao and similar forms.
Hence Yao-hoo is mistaken because it has the W element twice.
But then why does anyone care what people call god?
