Salvation is the Lord Jesus Christ;
he draws people to receive him.
He has saved us
by giving us the faith in him
that believes that he is our salvation;
that on the cross
he took our place,
paid for our sins,
became our righteousness,
and so reconciled us to God
so that we have eternal life.
Christ does not lose
any that he has saved;
he is God just as is his Father;
no one can take us out of his hand.
Christ has justified us
by giving us that faith
that trusts solely in him for salvation;
he is the gift of righteousness
and the gift of eternal life.
And he has made us to be
a new creation in him;
he has come into us
to live his life in us;
there is no sin in him,
and he increasingly transforms us
to be more and more like him
so that he manifests
his righteousness and love thru us.
We repent of our sins,
but our trust is on Christ,
not on our efforts.
We follow him in baptism,
but our trust is on Christ,
not on baptism.
We take the sacrament,
but our trust is on Christ,
not on our taking the sacrament.
In all things,
we delight in him
who has saved us,
and who now sanctifies us
to bear fruit by him,
and who causes us
to watch for his coming
when he will change us
to be fully as he wants us to be
in his righteousness and his love.
Praise be to the Son of God
and to God the Father forever!
