Jesus took our place on the cross
in order to pay for our sins
and to become our righteousness
and to become our salvation.
Our faith for salvation is to be
placed on our Lord Jesus Christ,
not trusting in ourselves or efforts
or church, but solely in him
so that we have eternal life.
Because our trust is in Christ,
he is the life that lives within us.
Therefore we love each other
with the love of Christ
and freely forgive each other
as the Lord Jesus has forgiven us.
We should never let nonessentials
divide us one from another.
People need to trust in Christ for salvation
in order to have Christ and eternal life;
then they can love one another
with the love of Christ
as he commanded us.
