At my UMC a small group study of Rick Warren's book produced amazing
results 
apart from salve to our Methodist souls caught between Calvinism and 
Arminianism.  :))  Out of that group came a new Sunday evening alternative

wor****p service, and eventually a re-building of the Sunday School 
(materially and spiritually), and too many other things to mention.
Warren comes from a Baptist background which is partly why  we didn't
accept 
every word on every page prima facie, however our discussions brought a 
depth of sharing I hadn't seen the like of before at RUMC, and I've been
in 
many adult study groups there.
