First of all, pray to Jesus Christ as your lord, not in public but being
alone.
Pray: 'Jesus Christ.....' or 'Lord ....' and bring your message, question
or
sorrow in plain words. Know that he is listening and if you need his help
or
healing he will give it to you.
When you have sinned and have not asked forgiveness, do that.
Also when someone has debts to you, forgive those yourselve.
Ask Jesus Christ to put you on the path he wants you to go. And try to do
so.
Also pray to God the Father to prays Him for his creation, all the life
that
is in it
and the fact that He gives food to all His creatures, etc..
Pray: 'Our Father in heaven ....' etc..
Try to do things to pleas others. Make music in a group th make them
singing
or othwer things to enjoy others.
Pray for sick people, probably with uplaying of the hands.
Repeated praying on distand also helps.
When you see someone who is in need of help, give that help
These are the works that God gives us to do.
Pray for the holy spirit to help doing hese works.
Give also money to the poor, widows, strangers, homeless.
When you can afford it use at least 10 % of your net
income for gifts to the poor and to the church together.
But the poor are preferent.
Then read at first the gospel of Matthew.
Use a New Revised Standerd Version with cross reference.
When you come at a reference to the Olde Testament, read that too.
If the text gives difficulties, pray to the lord for understanding,
make your mind empty and wait until the meaning of the text comes up
from the spirit. When this happens you know that the Christ is with you
and helps you.
That will comfort you for sure.
You could also go to a charismatic church and ask to pray for you.
That also can help to let Jesus take your sorrows away.
Let Jesus Christ our lord be a lamp for your feet and a light on your
path.
