John 9:41 Jesus said to them, "If you were blind, you would have no
sin; but since you say, 'We see,' your sin remains.
There is also Rev 20 where men are sentenced according to the deeds
done in the flesh. If they had been forgiven (so defined as including
being declared just) then the call to evangelize the world would
hardly be thought as pressing.
Also, though the sin of the world was placed on Christ at the cross
and God's judgment fell upon Him, that does not equal to say that all
man's sins were forgiven in a forensic sense.

1 Jn has been commented on repeatedly here and on SRC, expounding the
Greek tenses that are defining in the meaning of John's message. Yet
that aside, the fact that an Advocate exists and that confession is
still required, does not, again, equate that all sin for all time was
removed from all men. Man is still held accountable for what he does
in the flesh, elect and non-elect. In point of fact, the
accountability bar was raised to infinity when Christ took on the sin
of the world and paid the price yet few "withdraw" from His account.
