how to teach the gospel

by "Menno van Barneveld" <g.van.barneveld@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > May 3, 2008 at 07:44 AM

Dear brothers in Jesus Christ our lord,

I read some threads in this news group with interesting topics like
'Do we take the bible literally?
'Baptismal Regeneration'
'God is not a trinity'
'For Arminians and Calvinists''.

The used arguments are not always clear to me in respect to the subject.
This is the reason of posting this item, how to teach the gospel.

We can know that the early churchfathers had some reason to bring in thei=
r=20
own idees into the teaching. Because of that the New Testament became=20
corrupted not only with copiing mistakes, but also by fraudulous added=20
verses.
The best example is the addition in 1 John 5:7-8 to promote the dogma of =
the=20
Holy Trinity.
Erasmus at first in his edition of the Greek NT left the addition out,=20
because the older manuscript did not have it. But for a later edition the=
=20
RCC forced him to put it back into the text.
We all know how difficult it is to tow against the stream.

Two words of Jesus are im****tant here. (I use RSV unless states otherwise=
)
Matthew 5:18, For truly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, n=
ot=20
a iota, not a dot, will pass away from the law untill all is acomplished.
Matthew 23:8, But you are not to be called rabbi, for you have one teache=
r,=20
and you are all brethren.

For me these words are true for me as being a servant of our lord Jesus=20
Christ.
He taught me some things that I will bring up here, and I hope you use th=
em.
About the bible.
The bible consists of holy books of which the originals are kept in heave=
n.=20
They are revealed to the scribes through the holy spirit. Also the deuter=
o=20
canonic books, The gospel of Thomas, 5 Ezra and some others belong to the=
se=20
holy books. But not the Qur=B4an or the Book of Mormon.
But already the scribes can have made mistakes or additions to it. So
we=20
cannot be sure about any details in the text. Using details in the text a=
s a=20
proof gives a chance on making mistakes.
Jesus let me correct the Letter of Juda and the gospel of Matthew and=20
publish them on the internet. He revealed the corrections to me. These te=
xts=20
comply with a mathemetical test that holds for all texts that are reveale=
d=20
from heaven.

The gospel of the kingdom is: If people understand the law of neighbourly=
=20
love and do this law until the end they will be saved. Read for that Matt=
hew=20
25:31-46 in which examples are given. Even of one does not believe in God=
 or=20
Jesus, when he does do the law until the end he will be saved.
Otherwise, if people do believe as Christians, go twice a sunday or every=
=20
day to church, pray to God and Jesus, but do not do the law they will not=
 be=20
saved at all.

It must be clear that teachings that do not effect this message are
less=20
im****tant. And reading the sermon on the mount and other bible passages t=
he=20
message is clear enough anyhow.

It then is useful to read the bible as litteraly as possible. Otherwise y=
ou=20
can make mistakes in your presumptions and come in conflict with the word=
 of=20
Jesus in Matthew 23:8 as a teacher. Every evangelist, priest, reverent or=
=20
pastor should stick to the bibletext and leave church dogma's for what th=
ey=20
are.

Genesis chapers 1-11 are created by God our father as a myth. the real ag=
e=20
of the universe in fact is hidden in these chapters. The same holds for t=
he=20
age of our solar system. God created the universe along the lines of=20
evolution as science describes, but He steared it all acording to His pla=
ns.=20
So the intelligent design thesis is correct.
But if one is a creationist this does not affect the question of being=20
safed.

Being baptized is connected to confession and forgiving of sins. So
when=20
someone lets himselve being baptized Jesus Christ considders it as a=20
confession of his sins. If parents let their just born child being baptiz=
ed,=20
Jesus Christ considders it as a confession of sins of the parents and hat=
 is=20
also OK to him.

God is not a trinity. Jesus taught me that he was born as a man, a
human=20
being, from the virgin Mary, due to the action of the holy spirit.
But when he was baptized by John the Baptist (Matthew 3:16-17) he went up=
=20
immediately from the water, and behold, the heavens were opened and he sa=
w=20
the spirit of God descending like a dove, and alighting on him; and lo, a=
=20
voice from heaven, saying, "This is my beloved son, with whom I am well=20
pleased."
This holy spirit made Jesus Christ godly. So before Mary became
pregnant=20
from Jesus he did not exist.
This is more a promise to us then if the trinity had been true. God the=20
father showed mankind that he can give a human being holy spirit, resurre=
ct=20
him from the death and give hem eternal life. This had not been so if He=
=20
had done this only with Himselve being God the Son.

May Jesus Christ our lord be a lamp for your feet and a light on your pat=
h.
