So you say. But you are probably saying so based on a denial or confusion
of the
different forms of 'causation'. When a doctor give a patient a medicine
that
saves his life, do you deny that both the doctor and the medicine have a
role in
the causation of the patient's healing? Do you deny the role of the
company that
makes the medicine, too?

For that matter, do you believe that a man can consciously and willfully
deny
the doctrine and still be saved?

The reason all this is relevant is that even though we all know (or should
know)
it is God who saves, we _still_ talk about "saving faith". And this faith
is
faith in what? In Christ. But there is only one Christ in whom faith
saves: the
Christ who is the Second Person of the Trinity, who is anointed in the
Spirit,
the Third Person of the Trinity, anointed by the Father, the First Person
of the
Trinity.

So without the doctrine of the Trinity, there is no faith in Christ as He
really
is. But then how can there be saving faith? There cannot be.

So yes, "life-saving doctrine" is entirely appropriate here.
