No, you try again.  The fact that God didn't let you perish
before He finished saving you is hardly an argument that
sup****ts your works-righteous doctrine.

No, you read the _parts_ of Scripture that you happen to
like, out of context.  We are saved by grace, and that's
a plain Biblical statement.

_Having_ faith is a work.   When someone asks me why I'm
saved, I say "Because Jesus died and rose for me."  You
say "Beacause I have faith."

See the difference?  I say "Because Jesus...".  You say
"Because I...".   You're saving yourself.  Good luck with that.

Indeed you do think of faith as something like balogna.  If you
just have some of this faith stuff, then you get to go to heaven.

is the really just the mouth with which we eat salvation.

No, _you_ are "arguing from absense".  The Scripture says nothing
about whether the thief was baptized, and you trotted him out as
an example of someone who was saved but not baptized.  All I did
was gainsay your gross illogic.
