Of course.  That's their whole game.  To move the burden of proof from
them to you.  Since they reject science and everything it stands for,
they don't understand that you can't do this.  That the most basic point
of
the scientific method is to assume the null hypothesis.

Only an idiot would buy into this, but there's no shortage of those.
