When is acting irresponsibly, inflicting injury and death ever a
virtue--why then did Jake Kovco have a State funeral?
The jury in the Coronial enquiry today 2008.4.2 said that Private Jake
Kovco had died from a "gunshot wound which had been irresponsibly self-
inflicted and that he disregarded the possible consequences of danger
at that time."
"On the balance of probabilities, he did not intentionally take his
own life," it found.
It's a strange world, that if you drive a motor vehicle irresponsibly
and inflict injury and death on others (such as occurred in Mildura)
then it is regarded as a criminal action which clearly offends the
sensibilities--but if you are a soldier who dies as a result of
"irresponsibly of a self-inflicted wound" you are given a State
funeral.
I didn't purposefully attend Private Jake Kovco's State funeral,
because I believe such recklessness to be undeserving of State
recognition. Needless to say I was completely ostracised by the
Briagolong community--who's nationalism (ie. the children from our
womb are superior to others) and that of the Returned Services League
is fascist--I've told them so.
Do you think Judy Kovco will now proffer an apology for the distress
caused by her bastard and reckless son (who thrice denied his children
and wife in disavowing his own wedding vows)--in causing others to be
dragged off the street, so that his dutiful, niave and delusional wife
could approach and descrate the War Memorial upon which his name ought
never appear.
Two years of this 'cultural disease' as social exclusion and being
subject to silence was sufficient for me to sell up and leave the town
and the region of my birth.
You may not be aware that I am intrinsically involved in having
provided the ambulatory rhetorics as the structure to actions by
others (government, media etc as whomsoever deploys the memetic
paradigm as chronological and spatial overlay) and I was arrested on
that ANZAC day 25 April 2006--Despite all this I had a duty to any
implied trust of soul that Private Jake Kovco may have made of me as a
fellow resident of his home town Briagolong.
That TIME is concerned with the teleological area of Natural Theology
and metempirical philosophy which is as celestial hierarchy and
behavioral 'a priori' equally applicable to the definition of force as
it is in relation to the study of time and its relativity to infinity
and to the tem****al: "All things have their pre-existent limits in the
Super-Essence, of the Universe and its Eternity, -- ie. The Permanent
Principle underlying its tem****al process. This is what is meant by
the words "the Measure of the universe." The Good sets bounds to the
world (1) tem****ally, because Eternity is the Fount of Time, (2)
spatially, because Transcendent Unity is the Fount of Number.
All tem****al things are permanent in God; and all diversities are one
in Him, its Numerical Principle. All number has its roots in the
Good."
One of my favourite Torah teachers Rabbi Yakkov Feldman in discussion
Moses and Prophecy in relation to fundamentals of Jewish faith, puts
it this way: "We'd learned how vitally im****tant our interactions with
G-d are and about their consequences; but an obvious question in the
face of all that is, "How are we to know the best way to interact with
Him?" It's a fundamentally im****tant question that touches on the
whole idea of revelation, prophecy, and Divine inspiration, so Ramchal
begins to discuss all that here.
As he puts it, "G-d wanted to divulge certain things to humankind in
this world, so He provided a method of revelation ... and it's termed
'prophecy'".
That's to say that at a certain point in His intentions for the
universe before it was created, G-d decided to institute a means of
making His will known, since He wanted us to be aware of it. For even
though G-d Himself is utterly unfathomable and inscrutable, and so it
follows that His will would be just as unfathomable and inscrutable,
He nonetheless wanted us to know what He had in mind for us. So He
established a means of communication with us that would give us an
inkling of His intentions.
This is a rather radical notion in fact, since it implies that we'd
been granted insight into the Divine Mind on some level. What an
astounding phenomenon! To think that mortal man could somehow be privy
to G-d's thoughts! But it's true and is in fact one of the
fundamentals of the Jewish Faith.
Among the things G-d wants us to know, as Ramchal put it, are His
"secrets, mysteries, methods of providence, and matters concerning
this world".
So it was on 25 April 2006 that I asked God a favour when I was being
unreasonably swept off the street.
The 36 second video footage released under the Freedom of Information
Act, clearly shows a 'do not stand' sign in very close proximity to
where I was conveyed in a northerly direction to the wall of a nearby
premise.
The video shows a man engaged in an act of piety by reading a ****tion
of a biblical text obtained from [Psalm 94:1-23] whilst being arrested
by 2 members of the Victoria Police. This biblical text reads: "O God
Lord of retribution, LORD, God Lord of retribution, ****ne forth. Rise
up, O judge of the earth, and render an evil recompense to the proud.
How long will the wicked prosper, O LORD? How long will the wicked
dwell in error? They pour out and speak blasphemy, all those who deal
falsely utter words of shame. They crush your people, O LORD and
impoverish your inheritance. They kill the widow and the sojourner,
and murder the orphans.
And they say, 'The LORD does not see, and the God of Jacob does not
pay heed.' Pay heed, O you who are demented among the people! And you
fools, when will you become wise? Is it possible that he planted the
ear, but does not hear instruction? Or is it possible that he created
the eye, but does not see the Law? Is it possible that he gave the Law
to his people, and when they turned aside they are not reproved?
Did not the LORD teach the first human being knowledge? The thoughts
of the sons of man are known before the LORD, that they are vanity.
Blessed is the man whom you chasten, O LORD, and whom you teach out of
the Law, to give him respite from days of misfortune, until a pit is
dug for the wicked. For the LORD will not forsake his people, nor
abandon his heritage. For justice will return to the righteous, after
it all the upright of heart will be delivered.
Who will rise up for me to wage war against the evil ones? Who is
ready to strive for me against those who deal falsely? Unless the LORD
had been my help, my soul would soon have dwelt in silence. If I say,
'My foot has slipped', your goodness, O LORD, sup****ts me. When many
thoughts are within me, your consolations delight my soul. Is it
possible that the throne of falsehood can associate with you, a
creature of toil that is designated by statute?
The wicked gather together against the life of the righteous, and they
condemn innocent blood (with) a sentence of death. But the LORD has
become my help, and my God the strength of my security. And he will
bring back upon them their falsehood; and the LORD our God will
destroy them for their wickedness." [Psalm 94:1-23]
The result was an earthquake at the Beaconsfield gold mine on the
Tamar River in Tasmania.
A miracle to be sure.
But we'll speak more in our next chapter on methods of prognosising
God's system of providence involving the permanent principle
underlying the tem****al process as matters concerning this world.
