Perhaps it's implied that the request stems from genuine need. Does God 
always give you what you ask for? If we pray and ask for a million 
bucks, would we get it? But if we desperately need help, and pray for 
(say) deliverance from a situation where we have, despite our bests 
efforts, been unable to help ourselves, we might just get help. n'est-ce 
pas? (here endeth the lesson)
