I would think that you are working from a uniformitarian viewpoint.

As I have looked into this matter further I found some Internet

The drift was Americas from Africa, Australia and Antarctica from Asia
that has nothing to do with the cir***ference of the world - one of
the statistics you gave me to use for the first calculation.

The turbulance in the world brought about by the flood in the time of
Noah has relevance for the question you have posed. But you do not
accept that there was a great worldwide flood about 4500 years ago.

=46rom another website it was stated that the estimate for the pre-flood
population of the world  was 1 billion which would have been a
doubling rate about every 62 years - quite possible.

At the present time 1 billion people was added to the world in eleven
years, but the statistics given to High School students in a 1980's
text was that it took the world 2 - 3 million years to reach 1 billion
in 1800. That doesn't add up in my estimation. The doubling rate from
1960 - 1998 was 38 years.

In the  Population doubling mechanism 200 to 400 matches in ratio 2
million to 4 million, statistics being given as averages.

Some ideas to think about.

But sorry, I cannot work out the rate of speed of the separation of
the continents.
