It is hard to believe because it is simply wrong, that is all. For 
example, there has never been a stage between another species and human. 
The humans were there right from the beginning. There was a real place 
Paradise as well, and the Garden of Eden where God put the humans.

If you ask me whom to believe - God or Mark T or you - I will choose 
God. And there is no other God but the Christian God. People can have 
eternal life through faith by grace alone. If you were clever, you would 
trust God, ask Him to reveal Himself to you, and be anticipating an 
answer in excitement. Maybe you would get an answer like I did.

By the way, what of Genesis do you not understand? Maybe we could start 
from there...
