Not as crazy as you have thought, Sean.
I am reminded that in 1960 an Inspector of Schools commended me for my
Aboriginal project with my Second Grade pupils and the same man was
the Inspector when I was at another school in 1965 and commended me
again for a different project on Aboriginal life compared with modern
white Australian life.
I had not heard the word 'racism' at that time nor was I being
racist.
Both times I used genuine Aboriginal artefacts.
He was the only Schools Inspector who told us his religion (ie Roman
Catholic). I would think that he has since died or, if still living,
would be in his nineties.
But, in the context of the World Youth Day, with an attempt to gain
world-wide dominance of the Vatican that perhaps began with Vatican II
(1962-1965), could it have been that a number of members of the Roman
Catholic Church were gathering information to pass into the Labor
Party and to their church's educational authorities for the start of
their own Teachers College to become University later with the ensuing
favourable media publicity?
The information given on Aborigines from 1975 was all one-sided - the
wrongs that had been perpetuated from a mid-late 20th century
perspective and with none of the worthwhile initiatives that had been
taken in the previous (nearly) 200 years. It appears to me that there
was political expediency in that programme.
I am not into conspiracy theories.
I am just asking straightforward questions from my own personal
experiences and from the history of Australia that I have learnt but,
of which I do not not know everthing I will admit.

With apologies that I did not check the article number for 'Child

Those who post on Creationist issues in this group may be interested
in the above articles.
I think of these web topics as a means to share information from our
respective backgrounds.
In my opinion they should not be used to call other posters 'idiots'
or 'whatever' when there is disagreement.
