JUDGEMENT 21
Ex 22:16 =B6 And if a man entice a maid that is not betrothed, and lie
with her, he shall surely endow her to be his wife.
17 If her father utterly refuse to give her unto him, he shall pay
money according to the dowry of virgins.
My comments:
A young man should not have ***ual relations with an unattached girl
unless he is able and willing to make her his wife. That is, he
should have some source of income =96 a good job or an inheritance.
If he does convince a girl to have *** with him, she is entitled to
expect him to marry her (if she loves him enough to be his wife and
wants this to happen).
The boy does not have the choice under God`s law to refuse to marry
the girl.
On the other hand, if the girl does not want to marry the boy, she can
get her father to refuse to give her to him and she can remain
unmarried for the time being (even if she became pregnant). She is
free to marry another. The boy then still owes her compensation for
what he has put her through.
