In the ninth month a fast was proclaimed to all the people in
Jerusalem, and also those who had come from the cities to Judah to
Jerusalem:
Jer 36:9 And it came to pass in the fifth year of Jehoiakim the son
of Josiah king of Judah, in the ninth month, that they proclaimed a
fast before the LORD to all the people in Jerusalem, and to all the
people that came from the cities of Judah unto Jerusalem.
Also this is the month the foundation of the temple was laid - to
which Christ came.
Hag 2:18 Consider now from this day and upward, from the four and
twentieth day of the ninth month, even from the day that the
foundation of the LORD'S temple was laid, consider it.
The Koran talks about the fast of the 9th month (which should always
be in the autumn, as per the Jewish calendar), and the pilgrimage for
the last week of this month:
Su 2:197 Section 25. For Hajj are the months well known. If anyone
undertakes that duty therein, let there be no obscenity, nor
wickedness, nor wrangling in the Hajj.
