The ****eldmaiden senses the watching eyes, and turns to regard the
sea-worn
rock with a steady gaze. It appears empty, and unmoving .. but the
flickering firelight and the glancing rays of the dying sun form patterns
of
light and shade on its rough surface, which the ****eldmaiden follows with
interest.

This watcher is not as hidden as she thinks she is, for all her tricks and
glamours .. the stone has no loyalty, and tells all.

Satisfied that there is no danger, the ****eldmaiden throws more driftwood
on
the fire, and leaves the watcher to this sojourn away from the rigours of
her tasks ...
