I am presently working on a book on trance possession with Raven Kaldera.
I'm going to be concentrating on the role of possession in Afro-Caribbean
and African traditions. Alas, I'm only really knowledgeable in one of
those
traditions, Haitian Vodou. (One of the FIRST things I'm going to try to
get
across is that African trads are not one size fits all, the lwa are not
the
orisha are not the nkisi, etc.)
I've got some fantastic material on possession in Palo from Eoghan
Ballard.
(Thanks, Eoghan!) I'd love to get some more material from Ifa and Lukumi
initiates. If we have any Orisha Baptists or Obeah people here, that would
be most marvelous as well, and practitioners of Espiritismo and other
non-initiatory possession traditions are also invited to chime in.
We will give full credit for any material that we put in the book, using
whatever name you like; if you prefer we will protect your anonymity.
