Nam – Myoho – Renge – Kyo
All these things I have done solely in order to repay the debt I owe
to my parents...to my teacher...to the three treasures of
Buddhism...to my country. For their sake I have been willing to
destroy my body and to give up my life...though I have not been put to
death after all. If a wise man makes three attempts to warn the
leaders of the nation and they still refuse to heed his advice, then
he should retire to a mountain forest. This has been the custom from
ages past, and I have accordingly followed it.
