“...'Even you, Shariputra, where this sutra is concerned, gained
entrance through faith. How much more is this the case for the other
shomon disciples!'...This passage is saying that even Shariputra, who
was known for his great wisdom, was, with respect to the Lotus Sutra,
able to gain entry through faith and not through the power of his
wisdom and understanding.”
