"But they supposed that they had seen a spirit. And he said unto them
Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself; handle me, and see;
for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have" (Luke
24:37-39).
"Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same
Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like
manner as ye have seen him go into heaven "Acts 1:11
"Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given
me, that they may be one, as we are one." John 17:11
"Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall
believe
on me through their word;
That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee,
that they also may be one in us"
John 17:20,21
"Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God,
and
he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my
God"

"Jesus answered them, Many good works have I shewed you from my
Father;
for which of those works do ye stone me?
The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not;
but
for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself
God.
Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are
gods?
If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the
scripture cannot be broken"
John 10:32-35
Interesting that the when jesus said I and my father are one,
the Jews immediately accused him of blasphemy, for they
understood his implication ...
Then he went on to extend it to all his followers ...
The Jews persecuted Jesus for being a god maker ...
"Thou being a man makest thyself god ..."
The sect of the Nazarenes was a despised, persecuted,
blaspheming, god makers cult ...
