This is as good an excuse as any for mutants, SubGenii, Discordians,
Kibologists, Pastafarians, Euthanasiasts, skeptics, and similiarly-
inclined mutants and weirdos to get together to meet and greet, party,
B.S., and have a fun time -- while at the same time showing some
sup****t for the INTERNET HATE MACHINE. The main purpose of the
gathering is to take part in the protest...BUT, anyone attending is
encouraged to have fun and enjoy themselves.
As an ordained SubGenius minister, I invoke the authority of J.R.
"Bob" Dobbs, the Saint of Sales, to beseech and request that mutants
in the Boston area show up to take part. All you need to do is show
up, say hello, and hopefully stick around to have some fun hanging out
with a bunch of freaks. It is strongly suggested that you wear a mask
of some kind. (It's up to you to decide just how much "authority" an
idiot like "Bob" actually has.)
The Non-Violent Uprising wiki page notes that there is Serious
Business involved in planning the events, donating towards the sound
system, providing Punch and Pie, and other aspects of the protest and
party. You are free to do as much or as little as you like, just as
long as you show up in person.
(I am not part of ANONYMOUS, and I don't know any members of
ANONYMOUS. I speak solely for myself with this message. Likewise, I
am not one of the organizers of this event -- just an interested party
who would like to see similarly-inclined mutants there.)
