Over the years, I have taken to checking my bank transactions on a
daily basis. Damn good thing, or I'd have missed the fact that I was
double billed on a $760 transaction, both of which were paid by the
bank. Giving me a negative balance, and eventually NSF fees.
I quickly covered this from savings, and went to the friggen jewelry
store (payoff on a NICE watch) that double billed me. They were aghast
- seems that TeleCheck, their check validating company did the double
billing.
So here I am on the weekend, with a negative balance until Monday, and
all the local business use TeleCheck. So I won't be able to buy
groceries (which I don't really need as it sits), or gasoline (which
is okay until Tuesday), and won't see any resolution of this until AT
LEAST Tuesday.
On top of THAT, the IRS's "stimulus payment" that I was supposed to
see "no later than May 9th" by direct deposit, hasn't shown up.
Gah! I hate money problems!
