Exactly. My point was this stuff sounds all nice and righteous in church
but
in the real world it just doesn't work. The turn the other cheek
philosophy
does not address the situation where a loved-one is slapped; only if you
personally are. Makes me wonder about the wisdom of someone who would
teach
people this type of behavior.

This is something that I've had discussion about (in the real world) with
bible thumpers and without fail if I bring up the question about what do
you do if someone slaps your wife they can never answer. Why was something
like this left out? Why do so few even ask. Actually, I've never heard a
bible thumper ask and I don't expect to.
