the sermonation today is, of course, anti-big business, since they are
about profit, and not fun.
the devout jiffian (employed ones, anyway), will no doubt have at least
some ability to determine if the companies they do business with know how
to have fun, or have given themselves over entirely to greed for money.
These companies given over to profitability should be shunned. There are
unemployed jiffians, unemployed because of the profit motive run amok, and
that's just not fun.
being able to stay in business is fine. being treated as a 2nd class
citizen, not worthy of paid time off and health benefits, or other signs
of equal standing with one's co-workers (an affliction called
"contracting", or "perma-temping", suffered by other jiffians), is equally
unfun, and anti-jiffy.
Companies engaging in these tactics (microsoft, for example) are suspect
as well.
In time, Jiffy will have her way with these miscreants (probably involving
KY, a 50-foot razor blade, and un-set-up gelatin). Until then, it falls
to the true believers among us to take care of ourselves and each other.
