Here comes the typical JW "twist" on things. Who said it like that, you? 
I 
never heard anyone say the above. As I recall one couple reminded the
elders 
that the GB had predicted the end of this system before and were wrong so 
were most likely wrong this time. Both were disfellow****pped before the
end 
of the month.  Another couple admitted they don't believe anything will 
happen in 1975. Both were DFed quickly.  One asked an elder right in front

of us if he believed in 1975. He said he had his doubts. Someone ratted
him 
out and we never saw him again... and on and on it went.

Then you weren't THERE before 1975. It was all the talked about all the
time 
right up until 1975.... then - nothing! We were told to not mention it as
we 
could stumble others. That anyone who made a big deal of the failed 
prediction was weak in the faith.....  and if they did they were DFed. 
Many 
just left in disgust realizing the GB were nothing by manipulating false 
prophets.
