I rather liked the decision by the producer not to include
counter-evidence to their theme that scientists who believe in God are
discriminated against.  People like Dr Miller himself, along with
thousands of other practicing scientists.  Presenting their story would
just confuse the message that the producer was trying to convey.

Try to imagine what a disaster it would be if scientists allowed
themselves to ignore evidence that contradicted their favorite theories. 
*ALL* the data has to be accounted for, or the theory dies in the cradle.
