The resultant population has a different genetic distribution: longer, 
taller, wider heads.

The genes for these may well have existed in the parent population, but 
the genetic _frequency_ of them differs.  "Change in allele frequency in 
a population" - sound familiar?  See any of that occurring in the 
population?
