The Jesus story fits so many beliefs, we are brought up to believe in the
guy yet there is no historical evidence for his existence.
Personally if thinking that he may have existed I like to think he
survived
the crucifixion thing and buggered of to Kathmandu or somewhere round
there
and spent the rest of his life chewing the fat over philosophy and perhaps
helping out the people around him.
As for bringing a message from god to mankind if Jesus existed he made a
complete balls up of it as there have been more religious wars in the name
of Christianity than much else in the past 2000 years except perhaps the
spin off known as Islam.
