He didn't. The story tellers that made a living telling entertaining much
needed
yarns around the evening camp fires did all of the communicating.
The stories were remembered and later written down.
They had plenty of time - it went on like this for tens of thousands of
years
until the yarns became instinctive to the extent modern man can recognize
them
and still be made to feel incredulous.
