In the immediate, perhaps.  As far as biology is concerned, though, such
people exist for exactly one purpose: to keep the species going.  Nothing
else - not politics, not science, not religion, not art or philosophy or
any of the rest of it - matters, as long as they breed.

The rest is mostly just the dance. :)
